: about steve morley
Steve first studied tabla in Benares, India in 1983 with Pt. Chotilal Misra, and was subsequently accepted as a chela (disciple) in accordance with Indian musical tradition.
He has been teaching tabla and leading workshops and courses in the U.K. since 1995, and has also worked with classical and contemporary musicians and dancers. In recent years he has been under the tutelage of London-based tabla master, Pt. Sharda Sahai.
